Fawzia Koofi Launches a new Project for Women
’Women form half of Afghanistan Society. They should receive more attention’’
There is no doubt that today technology becomes part of humankind life in every corner of this world. Learning the usage of technology encouraged women and men to build a better life and enjoy it with pride.
Like always as a hard working and women advocator Ms. Fawzia Koofi's new invention is an educational project, funded by Canadian Development Agency, which sponsored two hundred young women breadwinners from Badakhshan province to register for a one year training course where they could learn a professional major such as tailoring, unique embroidering, carpet weaving and sculpturing.
These women soon will be starting their own business' independently after completing the courses, which will give them the opportunity to develop a normal middle-class life. Besides majoring, the women also are going to a classroom for an hour a day to learn writing and reading.
Ms. Koofi, The Afghanistan popular feminist leader and member of The House of Representatives, called such projects a way to improve the quality of life for Afghan women. Ms. Koofi requested the young women to help her create more projects that could cover the country nationally. She said: we believe that women form half of Afghanistan Society. They should receive more attention. She added, my complaint of the women's ministry and Afghanistan government is that they still haven’t done anything to help the Afghan women so far.
Mrs. Hamida Noori, head of the newly founded project, presented an official speech thanking Ms. Koofi and appreciating her hard work. ‘’Afghan nationals, especially women will never forget what Koofi has been doing for them,’’ said Mrs. Noori. She added Fawzia Koofi is the only brave-truthful woman who always serves her nation in every second of her life.
